In-Office Procedures

Novasure
Uterine Ablation for Heavy Menstral Periods
For women who suffer from heavy menstrual periods, we offer a minimally invasive in-office procedure to minimize bleeding. Unlike a hysterectomy, a uterine (endometrial) ablation preserves the uterus and does not require any incisions. The procedure involves applying heat to treat the uterus lining. A quick 15-minute procedure, uterine ablation requires no hospital stay and a fast recovery with most women returning to their normal routine the very next day.

Essure
Permanent Birth Control
Essure is a new FDA approved in-office alternative to tubal ligation. Offered at
Continental Divide OB-GYN, women who no longer want to have children can undergo a quick 15-minute procedure for permanent birth control. There is no incision and little, if any, discomfort during the procedure.

Implanon
3-Year Implantable Contraceptive
For women looking for extended birth control, we offer the IMPLANONimplantable contraceptive. IMPLANON is an in-office procedure whereby a small, implantable contraceptive is placed under the skin of the upper arm. Implanon contains a form of progesterone that works as birth control by stopping the release of the egg from the ovary and helping to stop the sperm from reaching the egg. IMPLANON can last up to three years, and can be removed at any time should you choose to become pregnant. |
